Emotional Freedom Technique® (EFT)

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique): Dr. Chapdelaine has taught people how to overcome lifelong phobias in as little as 10 minutes using this amazing energy technique! Not only phobias, but practically any negative emotion can be dealt with painlessly, quickly and permanently through EFT. Based on the discoveries of a prominent psychologist over a decade ago (Dr. Roger Callahan), EFT is the drug-free solution to many emotional problems encountered by all of us, whether stress, phobias, depression, anger, or post-traumatic-stress disorder. Dr. Chapdelaine teaches this technique of gently tapping on certain acupuncture points to his patients so they can use it on themselves. It even helps with addictions!

Basic Protocol

Notice what number your emotion or pain is on a scale of 0 = none to 10 = worst possible

Setup

Rub the sore spot (either side of upper chest, about three inches down from collarbone then 3 inches over) while saying (three times):
"Even though I have this ______________ (fill in with emotion or physical problem, being as specific as you can, for example, "lower back pain"), I deeply and completely accept myself."

Tapping (doesn't matter which side you do)

Tap (about 6 or 7 taps with two fingertips) the following in order, while saying,
"this ____________" (whatever you used in Setup above, for example, "this lower back pain").

Beginning of eyebrow near center
Outer edge of eye
Under eye
Between none and upper lip
Between chin and lower lip
"Collarbone" which is where collarbone, breastbone and first rib meet: about an inch from center of where collarbones meet you'll feel a hollow spot
Side of body, about 4 inches under armpit, roughly even with nipple/breast
Edge of thumb, even with base of fingernail
Edge of index finger, even with base of fingernail
Edge of middle finger, even with base of fingernail
Edge of little finger, even with base of fingernail
Edge of fatty area of hand ("karate chop point")

9 Gamut Procedure

Tap with two fingers the spot about ½ inch toward the wrist from the two knuckles of the little finger and ring finger (you'll find a hollow area there) continuously while you do the following 9 things for a second or two each:
1. Close eyes
2. Open eyes
3. Without moving head, look down to the right
4. Without moving head, look down to the left
5. Roll your eyes in a circle to the right (like you're looking at the hour numbers on a clock)
6. Roll your eyes in a circle to the left
7. Hum a song for a second (suggest: happy birthday to you)
8. Count out loud, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
9. Hum a song for a second (happy birthday)

Repeat the Tapping above (starting with eyes through karate chop point)

Notice what number you now have on a 0 to 10 point scale.

If it's not zero, repeat the entire sequence above. This time, for the setup, rub while saying, "Even though I still have some of this ___________, I deeply and completely accept myself."

Then for the Tapping part, say, "This remaining ___________ ."

Usually, one or two repeats are all that is necessary to go from a high number to 0 or a low number. Persistence with this, repeating it several times during the day, will often overcome even the most stubborn negative emotion. It works almost 100% of the time for negative emotions, and a large part of the time for different conditions such as pain, allergies, etc.
